Episode Fifteen-Mental Health and Suicide Prevention with Recording Artist Lana Scott
We'd love to hear from you about this episode.
To kick off Mental Health Awareness Month, we wanted to create a bit of a different show today. This episode covers a few topics that are near and dear to our hearts, mental health, and suicide awareness. We have both been profoundly impacted by each, personally and professionally.
Welcome to Episode Fifteen of The Nature of Wellness Podcast.
We were extremely fortunate to have recording artist and mental health advocate Lana Scott join us on today’s episode. Lana was a Top 8 finalist on The Voice as a member of Team Blake Shelton. She is an incredibly gifted singer and songwriter, but more impressively, she is an incredible human being.
Lana’s passion for connecting with people through her music is unmatched, as she strives to inspire and uplift with every performance.
Join us as we discuss Lana’s journey, her passion for helping create awareness for suicide prevention, and how she decided to use her platform to make a difference. She shares how growing up in nature impacted her well-being and how a nature example inspired the message behind her new project.
Lana’s new song “Permanent” also releases today, with 50% of the streaming revenue going to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Lana talks with us about the personal meaning of the song, her desire to use her platform to advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, and the story behind the song and music video.
She also performed an acoustic version of “Permanent” for us on the show, which overwhelmed us both. Check it out anywhere you stream music today.
Please share this episode and the song with anyone you know that is struggling. Hopefully, they will understand, as the song states….” it ain’t permanent.”
Scroll down for multiple ways to support this project and share with those who can benefit. We are all in this together...
This episode left a permanent impression on both of us.
Please subscribe, rate, and leave a review anywhere you listen to this podcast. It will help us extend the reach of these powerful messages.
We appreciate you all.
