We often speak about how nature provides many benefits across all dimensions of well-being, which can have a long-term impact.
Introducing children to different aspects of the natural world can help them in multiple aspects of their development and growth. Time in nature has been shown to boost creativity, enhance curiosity, increase empathy and cognitive functioning, and lower symptoms of anxiety. Nature-based educational systems have been shown to improve academic performance and critical thinking.
Although this information is known, children have been spending less time outdoors.
